Description -
Lovely solid silver hinged compact of circular form with hinged lid, push button clasp, thumb piece, interior reflector (mirror replaced) and powder compartment
both sides embellished with engine turned decoration
made by renowned silversmith Mappin & Webb Ltd
Fully hallmarked with the anchor for Birmingham assay, the lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, date letter "M" for the year 1936 and makers mark "MN WB" which is Mappin & Webb Ltd.
Condition -
Cracked mirror has been replaced with a card reflector (will include broken mirror). Silver is in very good condition, with just a minor dint to the edge (pleae inspect end photographs)
