    Description

Up for sale is an extremely rare Lemon Crush Soda cardboard bottle topper in overall fair-good condition. This is truly a very rare piece of Crush soda history and to find one in any condition is hard to come by. The bottle topper still retains a lot of its original color but some of the color has slightly faded in some areas of the piece. It is marked “COPYRIGHT, ORANGE-CRUSH COMPANY” and has another marking that says “B-27” (see attached pictures). To the best of my knowledge and from research I found online, the “B-27” is an indication of when the piece was made, meaning in 1927. The piece is not in perfect condition and has several flaws throughout. Of these flaws include, some bends/creases/ and minor soiling in various areas (see attached pictures). I would also like to note, that I believe where it says “like lemon?” that area of the piece might have been neatly trimmed as only part of the question mark is shown (see attached pictures). Additionally, the piece itself does not lie perfectly flat in all areas but if you were to frame the bottle topper I highly believe that this would not be noticeable. The crease near the foot/ankle causes this area to be a little weak yet is still in tact with the piece. As far as the back of the bottle topper, the damage is a little more visible. Some notable areas of damage that I would like to point out are some soiling throughout and from my interpretation some tape residue must have ripped off a section of the backing (view attached picture). Another small detail would include it is marked “pearl” on the back of it which I would assume was the name of the original owner of the item. Aside from that, the only other notable thing that I will mention is that you can see the bends from the backside. Lastly, I would just like to mention that I am not sure if the bottle topper would be strong enough to sit on the bottle for display purposes but I am not certain. If you have any questions please feel free to send me a message!
In the upcoming few months I will be listing a wide variety of antique advertising pieces, which will mainly consist of soda  advertising items. I had accumulated a massive advertising collection with my grandfather as we spent many years buying items together and since then he has passed away so I will not be able to keep all of the pieces we collected together. My grandfather had collected antiques for over forty years and his passion in the antique industry sparked me to gain an interest for it as well. Although I would love to keep all of the items from the collection, I truly do not have the space for them and I would like someone else to get as much joy from them as I have. In case it matters to anyone, my family has been selling on eBay for years as “bobdebborn” but I have decided to start up my own account. On a final note, if there is anything in particular that you are looking for and I do not have it listed please feel free to reach out to me as I do have an extensive collection.
