    Description

The Orange Crush company was formed in 1911, by Clayton Howel and Neil Ward. Mr. Howel was the inventor of the Orange Julep. Mr. Ward joined the company and invented the formula for Orange Crush, which originally had orange pulp in it, and was first known as Ward's Orange Crush. It hasn't had pulp for decades though. It was made to compete with Coca Cola's Fanta Orange.
For decades, Orange Crush, with its 3 flavors, was seen in its original Krinkly bottle.  However, in 1955, a new Mae West bottle was formed by designer Jim Nash.  The new design was a better fit for the hand.  Sales soon increased in test markets by 10-20 times.
In 1980, Crush was sold to Proctor & Gamble; in 1989 P & G sold it to Cadbury Schweppes, and in 2008 spun it off to form the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group.
This bottle is a very rare Krinkly design bottle.  Sometimes it is called a Beehive bottle.  It is bright and beautiful with its clear embossed lettering, duplicate on both sides.  The graphics are very good.  The information is the same on both sides.  One side is perfect, but the other side is slightly worn, as shown.
The bottle states, "Pat'd July 20, 1920 Orange Crush Co. Bottle 6 fl.ozs." on both sides.  The bottle was made by the Chattanooga Glass Works.
The bottle is 7 3/4" tall and 6 oz.
