Wow! This is a fairly scarce item to come by especially considering it was the first time it was ever issued. The cover features two champion Afghan Hounds. There is also a couple of short articles about Afghans along with articles by Lady Halifax, Leon Whitney, Fred Otto, Freeman Lloyd, and Roderick Random. This first issue is a must add to any dog lover's collection but doubly so if you fancy Afghans!
Publisher/Date: Modern Dogs; January 1945. This book is the paperback edition. The text is unmarked. The binding is sound. The cover is moderately worn around the edges with some creasing and a few small closed tears. The page edges are toned with scattered foxing. A few pages have a silver dollar sized dampstain. The edges of the cover are also scuffed and toned.
