$ 52.77

Description

You are bidding on a large, very rare original antique print from an 1870s French illustrated journal.
It depicts two beautiful pomeranian dogs guarding the supply wagon. One is white, one is dark. The caption identifies them as "spitz" but the accompanying article adds that it is the spitz of pomerania  I have also included a second page with a 9-inch article (in French) on the breed.
It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture measures 7 x 9.5 inches, with a French caption below. There is unrelated text surrounding the picture that could be trimmed for framing.
The caption reads: Le Spitz
which roughly translates to: The Spitz.
However the accompanying article further describes them as: Le Spitz ou chien de Pomeranie, which translates to the Dog of Pomerania.
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
There is text/photos on the back of the print.
See scan for an accurate view of the condition.
This is GENUINE antique/vintage item. It is not a modern reproduction.
